A Community of Learning

At Congregation B’nai Yisrael we are engaged in Developing Jewish Identity through our programming for children, adults, and families. Our programming begins with our young children in our Torah TOTs and Kindergarten programs and continues through bar and bat mitzvah and Confirmation through our wonderful Leadership program for teens. Our goal here is to give our learners the tools to live a meaningful Jewish life and “To See The World Through Jewish Eyes”.

The adult programs for the continued development of our Jewish selves are increasingly many and varied, including courses in Hebrew reading and Torah study, sessions covering topics such as “What it Means to be Human”, and “Text in the City” classes in New York City.

Because the wide-ranging associations and national and international activities of our clergy, Congregation B'nai Yisrael is particularly fortunate to be able to present important guest speakers delivering provocative lectures and exciting inside looks at their thoughts.
