Michelle Eickelbeck – Treasurer

A NYer thru and thru, born in Queens to my Bronx raised mom and my Brooklyn raised dad. After a few years there and a few more in Rockland county, I was raised in Chappaqua NY and graduated in 1979 from Horace Greeley HS. I was blessed with a loving family, summers spent at camp and the notion and support that anything and everything in my future was possible.

In 1979 I ventured south to Vanderbilt, which at the time was like being a Jewish pioneer. Graduated with a business major and went on to follow in the footsteps of my dad and joined the ranks of the Advertising industry. Grey and Chiat/Day gave me a foundation in Media buying, which led to sales at The Travel Channel and ultimately 8 years at Comedy Central. It was in those years I met my husband Steven of 20 years.

Life is all about the communities in which we live. My inner circle is my immediate family of Father, Husband and three sons. CBY has been a huge part of this circle. Shared experiences of Holidays, Bar Mitzvahs and as of December 2012, the loss of my mom, made me aware how deeply I appreciate all the Temple had and has to offer me.

My outer circle includes the organizations in which I choose to give back. For 8 years I was a member of the BHPTSA and volunteered for our school community. I am also an active participate in our Usonia community. My calling now is to volunteer my time, be inspired by and hopefully inspire those in the CBY community.

My work community as of the past 6 years is representing Carol Anderson and dressing and enhancing woman all over the Tri state area. My greatest accomplishment at work is making other woman feel good about themselves.

Though one year from being empty nesters, Steven and I enjoy our 3 teenage sons. They have been active at CBY, continuing well after their Bar Mitzvah years enjoying the Confirmation year, trip to Washington DC and Trip to Israel with Seth and 5 other CBY families.

I look forward to my first 3 years as a CBY board member as well as much time with Steven eating Healthy food, searching for great art, and just staying inspired.
