My wife, Michelle, and I joined CBY immediately upon moving to Armonk in 2001 to ensure that our three young sons would receive a Jewish education and engage with young, like-minded Jewish children and that, as a family, we had a place in our new community to celebrate Jewish holidays and make new friends with common backgrounds, experiences and interests.  Now that our three sons have become b’nai mitzvah and been confirmed and Michelle has become an adult bat mitzvah, Congregation CBY remains a warm and comfortable home for us.

For Michelle and I, CBY has become not only a place of worship, it has become a resource to our own Jewish heritage and education and strengthens our Jewish identities.  More importantly, the enthusiasm and warmth of our clergy and the friendships we have formed through CBY inspire us to remain connected.  As newly minted empty-nesters, our connections with our CBY family and friends become even more meaningful.  We look forward to celebrating Jewish holidays with the CBY community and to furthering our own Jewish education through the various programs and events offered at CBY. I am excited to rejoin CBY’s Board of Trustees after a two year hiatus and to strengthening my relationships with our clergy, staff and membership as our congregation continues its journey into its next phase.
