Sisterhood

The Sisterhood of Congregation B'nai Yisrael supports programming for women within our community. Sisterhood sponsors the Rosh Chodesh women's service once a month, and the annual women's Passover Seder. In addition, the Sisterhood presents special gifts to our young people on their B'nai Mitzvah and Confirmation. Fundraising events such as the fun-filled shopping spree at Bloomingdale's enable Sisterhood to fund special needs and projects in our Religious School. Other Sisterhood activities have included women's spa weekends in the Berkshires, coordinating a temple Mitzvah Day, women's night out at a local restaurant (with raffle prizes), and running a Chanukah Gift Shop for the Religious School. The Sisterhood is proud to present guest speakers on women's health issues and women in the professional world.
