This is the ninth year that Shari has been a teacher in the JID program.  Shari teaches fourth, sixth and seventh graders.  When Shari’s not at Bnai, she divides her time teaching at Larchmont Temple, subbing, and serving on school committees for special education, mental health and wellness.

My name is Sherry Levine. I am the new 5th grade Jewish history teacher.  I am also a wife and a mom to two active teenage boys. I love working with children and am a former elementary and middle school teacher, I currently work in retail sales as well as teach.   When I am not working, we travel the world as a family as much as possible!

Joy Reich
Joy Reich has been teaching at Congregation Bnai Yisrael for 3 years. She has taught Hebrew and is now currently teaching JID classes . Joy is teaching about Jewish Holidays and their customs, Bible stories , life cycles , and all about the History of the Holocaust . Before Joy came to Hebrew school she was an early childhood teacher and taught four year olds at Temple Israel Center of White Plains for the past twenty years.She is looking forward to many more exciting years of teaching and enriching our children with these very important Jewish values that will stay with them for many years to come.
Randi Singer
Randi Singer is thrilled to have joined the JID program at CBY. Randi has been an educator in Religious Schools throughout Westchester and Connecticut for a bit over 20 years. She has worked with children in pre-school through 7th grade developing their Hebrew skills. Randi lives in Westchester with her husband, stepdaughters and her dog. She is currently the First Grade Assistant Teacher at Schechter Westchester.
Judy Stern
Judy Rosen Stern was born and raised in Mount Vernon and New Rochelle, New York. She is a second generation American and the granddaughter of a founder of a synagogue in Mount Vernon. She has a B.S in Elementary Education from Pace University where she established a Hillel Chapter on the Pleasantville Campus where she met her husband Alan of 42 years. They have a son Adam who has given her 2 awesome grandsons. Her religious education came as an adult making her Bat Mitzvah and Confirmation with later taking courses to become a Jewish Educator. This is her 30th Year of teaching Jewish Education. Judy has taught in Greenwich, Ct, Larchmont, Ny and besides teaching at CBY (4 years), she is in Stamford,Ct and Rye, NY. Judy is alsoa retired Nursery School teacher who subs at the PortChester Head Start and Theraputic Nursery School. She loves teaching Bible and Jewish American History. Her philosophy is to teach her students the Jewish history /culture that she never learned at their age. Judy enjoys spending lots of time on Cape Cod and Florida especially Disney World and traveling to historical and haunted sights.
