Alli West

Cantorial Soloist Alli West joined CBY in July of 2023.

Alli is a seasoned Cantorial Soloist with over 15 years of experience leading Shabbat, High Holy Day, and life cycle services. She has extensive experience singing modern Jewish liturgical music, classical reform music, and a vast repertoire of Broadway, Pop, and Rock music - all of which she enjoys bringing to Shabbat experiences. In addition to serving as a Cantorial Soloist for over 14 years, Alli was a steady and strong presence on the Temple Shaaray Tefila staff, having worked in nearly every area of temple life.

Before Alli began working in the Reform Jewish space, she enjoyed a career as a professional actor, appearing in plays and musicals in NYC and at some of the top regional theaters nationwide. She has also worked extensively as an acting, vocal, and public speaking coach, and for several years, she ran the Continuing Education Acting Intensive & Shakespeare workshops at SUNY Purchase.

Alli now works full-time at The Rye Arts Center as the Director of Development. She lives in Ridgefield, CT with her husband, Jason, their two children, Jack and Olivia, and their puppy, Miko. She graduated from The University of Michigan School of Music in Ann Arbor.
