Chip Schrager has been with Congregation B'nai Yisrael since joining as Director of Communications in 2017 and was named Executive Director in July, 2021. With over two decades of experience in nonprofit and synagogue life, Chip has the experience and background to help CBY as we move forward as a community.

Prior to joining CBY, Chip served as Communications Coordinator and Operations Manager at Shaaray Tefila in New York City for four years where he had a hand in everything from High Holy Day logistics to galas and special events. Chip has also run development programs for organizations including the Lymphoma Research Foundation, Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America, and PBS.

A graduate of Lehigh University, Chip's first role was with the arts and entertainment nonprofit, The Creative Coalition, where he helped craft congressional testimony, write speeches, create long-term strategies for keeping film production in the United States, and run advocacy events at the Republican and Democratic national conventions, State of the Union, White House and Congressional correspondents dinners, presidential inaugurations, Sundance and Toronto film festivals, and Celebrity Sports Invitational. He has also collaborated on several books, including Five Minutes with the President and Giants Pride, a retrospective on the 2007 New York Giants season.

Chip is married and has two children.
