Help Us Support a Refugee Family
The plight of refugees has weighed heavily on our faith-based community. Watching families suffering in war torn Syria, hearing about the persecution of translators who risked their lives to support American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, and reading about the plight of victims of human trafficking has compelled us to act.
CBY has joined forces with Pleasantville Community Synagogue to form a community group called PART One to resettle refugee families in Westchester. This sacred work will take a village.
Our second family, Firas & Zainab and their two little boys, arrived in March. They need financial support to get them on their feet; they need diapers and toys, transportation, and of course, employment. They need YOU. Please consider volunteering by emailing socialaction@cbyarmonk.org to find out how you can help.
You can also help by making a donation to PART One either by filling out the form below or sending your check to:
Congregation B’nai Yisrael

Please note “PART One” in the memo line of your check.
