“To build for the future of CBY”
“I am thankful for those who have come before who supported our congregation. I am forever grateful that my kids were able to be part of a local congregation…..and now strongly believe that it is my duty to pay it forward so the next generation of kids coming of age also have a Jewish community to call home.”
“Because we believe in Rabbi Strom and want to see his vision for our congregation come to fruition.”
“Because it’s the right thing to do.”
“Because it’s our turn.”

Dear Friends,
Thank you. Thank you to those of you who have met with representatives from the Capital Campaign, thank you to the 54 families who have pledged your support, and to the hundreds who will pledge your support. As Ross Honig said at the 2018 Gala, “supporting the Capital Campaign is the single most important thing that this generation will do for the future of Congregation B’nai Yisrael.”
CBY 2020: The Capital Campaign, is off to a great start. With less than one-quarter of the congregation having been solicited to this point, we are already one-third of our way to our goal of $6.4 million.
And we’re just getting started.
With your support we have already begun to address many areas of need at CBY from: re-wiring our building to provide better internet and Wi-Fi service so that we can live stream our services as well as stream into our classrooms interesting programs; launching a study into the viability of creating an Early Childhood pre-K program for our community; ordering new High Holy Day prayer books (which have arrived); and improvements to our physical plant.
But there is more to be done!
Our aspirations are high, our dreams are big. We want to enhance and expand the educational and worship opportunities available to children and adults. We want to bring you the best guest speakers and lecturers from around the country. We want to build upon the legacy of our founders and, with Rabbi Strom’s vision, create a future for our children, and our children’s children. A future that we can all be proud of. A legacy for the next fifty years of CBY.
We can’t do it without you.
As support for the Capital Campaign grows so too will our dreams. Success will beget success and with your help we can grow to unimaginable heights. You hold the key to the future of Congregation B’nai Yisrael. Your passion, your commitment, your support will determine how far we can go. We have done so much already, just think about what your pledge will help us do next. Meet with us, share your vision with us, let us share ours with you. The future of CBY is here, we can build it together.

Sincerely,
Rabbi Joshua Strom
