Brotherhood JETY Award (Jewish Teen Youth Award)
The CBY Brotherhood is pleased offer its annual Jewish Teen Youth Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize those students who best exemplify Jewish teen life through their participation in programs that promote Jewish identity and Jewish culture, such as BBYO, NFTY, CBY’s student internship program, or other programs that underscore a commitment to Jewish life and Jewish ideals.
Details & Qualifications
- A $500 cash award will be given to one student
- Students may use this money for whatever they want
- The recipient’s name will be added to a plaque that will be prominently displayed at CBY
- To qualify, students must be a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, be high school juniors or seniors, their families must belong to CBY and they must complete a brief JETY application form
- Applications (below) must be submitted prior to May 1st each year
- Winners will be honored during a Friday Shabbat service in the first half of June. Please keep these June Friday nights tentatively open for you and your family. The exact Friday will be coordinated when the JETY award is granted in May.
