I have been a member of CBY for 25 years and am thrilled to be serving on the Board of Trustees.   Both of my daughters, Danielle and Rachael celebrated their B’not Mitzvah at CBY and continued to Confirmation.  I celebrated my adult Bat Mitzvah in 2003 and in the process learned to chant from the Torah.  That is when I remembered how much I love to sing and joined the choir.   The beautiful Jewish music that we sing fills my soul during the high holidays as well as at a Friday night Shabbat services.  (I have also been known to hum these melodies while walking on Madison Avenue to and from my office).  CBY feels like my second home and the congregation, like my second family.

In addition to volunteering for many of the Jewish Identity Program activities when Danielle and Rachael were young, I co-chaired a Long Range Planning project.  I have hosted more Progressive Dinners than I can remember and I love the Women’s Retreat – a chance to get away, be with old friends and make new friends.

In addition to my commitment to CBY, I have been an active volunteer for my alma mater, Wheaton College for 40 years.  I have had the privilege of serving in myriad roles including two terms as President of the Alumnae/i Association.

My entire career has been in the jewelry business.  I worked alongside my father for 25 years selling loose color gemstones to jewelry manufactures and retail jewelers.   I was the third woman admitted to the 24 Karat Club, a prestigious, century old organization of wholesale jewelers and manufacturers.  I currently work for Tourneau as a buyer in their Certified Pre-owned watch division.
